There are three reasons:
1 ) You get access to all quizzes on site.
These quizzes take time, sourcing good content with transcriptions, cutting the audio into smaller pieces and working through the transcription for the quiz. We post one audio clip per day, and this one is always available free without signing up.
You don’t have to sign up for the newsletter, you can check back daily for the daily quiz and follow along into the future. Consider it like a wordle for French listening exercises.
2) You can listen to full podcasts on site, broken into bitesize pieces.
As I continue to add quizzes to the site, they come from full podcast episodes. I do them in order from start to finish, all less than one minute. That means you’ll be able to find podcasts perfect for learning like Paris o’clock and Balades. They are in bite size pieces, easy to enjoy without overwhelming your brain. And easier to learn from.
3) It’s not spam.
We’re not going to sell your information, the email is only for us to communicate with you. And we do it infrequently. Once a week, we send interesting articles, cultural learnings, and language notes. If you don’t like what you’re reading, unsubscribe. You can still access the quizzes on site. Yeah, that’s right, there’s a loophole, but you know what? I don’t mind.
And again,
You could also not sign up. There’s that option, too. Just check back daily for the latest quiz on site, and practice your ear for French. Good luck and happy learning!
