    I can’t believe it.

In the US, you can buy an electric cake griddle. My wife got us one years ago and we used it. It seems like the “official,” “French” way to make crepes. And then, to hear all of this… A pan is actually the official family way of making crepes.

Maybe Americans like me just get suckered into needing all the products (that we don’t actually need, right?) to get the job done. Heck, you can even buy flat thin crepe pans. I expect those would be good – heat up faster, and perfect for the flip… but then, is it essential?

Now looking back, it’s quite funny I have all these gadgets and gizmos. And I can’t believe I get suckered into all of them.

How did you find this snippet? I like this French because it uses the “en”, I trust you know all about that, no? 🙂

I decide to make the first pancake to show my kids how it’s done.

Hop, I throw it and… not high enough. It is in the pan but folded in two. Second try, it’s a success.

A beautiful golden pancake on both sides. Then it was the children’s turn. What champions! I can’t believe it.

They do it better than I do. I’ll really have to make a few more attempts before February 2nd.
