    The serious stuff starts

I try to remember why I’m learning French. The serious stuff often gets in the way. The real reason for me is to learn more about French culture and to speak to locals as a local. That’s my real goal, and when I think about it, it really does seem fun and makes me feel lighter.

So while you’re getting into the serious stuff, working through grammar, and new vocab, and choosing tenses, and messing up female and male. Again. Try to remember the fun stuff. The reasons we’re doing this in the first place. What’s that for you?

about crepes. Let’s get back to learning.

    Here we go…

“Kids, who wants to help me make pancakes?”

“Oh yeah, me. I want to make them fly in the air.”

“Okay, Yann, but first we need to prepare the batter. I’ve got everything I need. Sophie, watch what your brother is doing. Meanwhile, I’m looking for the strawberry jam.”

Everything is going well, the dough is resting, the pan is ready and finally the serious stuff starts.
