Did you know?
I did know that. Though I went after the festival. My visit to Menton was taxing. It was one of the first day trips we took with our toddlers, and the hills were high. It was a lovely city, but I had too much stress.
I wonder what it would have been like during the festival. The pictures make it out to be a carnival. And in fact, maybe because of it’s date near Fat Tuesday (mardi gras) it is a bit related? We’ll have to see if that’s what she says. I can’t be sure.
I love this little clip because it is many terms we should have learned as beginners. Present tense, festivals, fruits, year, months, and “aux”, “tous”, “de and du” “en France”… all are grammar constructions one comes across in the first few weeks of learning a language.
I love this podcaast for learning French, this podcast really is perfect for beginners. It’s easy enough to follow along, but some words like aux are lost in the pace, even though the pace is quite moderate.
