Because of
This clip reminded me of something. It’s something with nothing to do with learning French, but still wanted to share…
I moved to China after graduating college and was debating doing a number of things. I found a teacher and had a class with them 1-on-1. I was thinking I was hot stuff and a superstar and the teacher basically corrected a lot of things and told me where I could improve. I was a hotshot 22 year old and didn’t hire her as a teacher.
I don’t think I did anything wrong, but it’s interesting. I get feeling confident to make mistakes in front of a teacher, I agree there. I think it’s also important to find those that really can help you level up. I carry that lesson around with me, looking back to my younger, more naïve days.
What’s opening up for you in this clip? I’m open to any and all feedback, as always. Let me know.

That’s why, if you learn a language with a teacher, it’s very important to have a good relationship with that person, to feel confident. If you are afraid to make mistakes because of this person, you are not in a good state of mind to learn the language.
