    I like this expression. I think it is something that we say in English, bu I don’t think I’m ever smart enough to use it. I hope to use it though. Especially in French.

    It is interesting how the liaison takes on a new form in spoken French. It seems that words like “quelle est le” and “de leur propre pays” can smoosh together into tighter words. At least to my untrained ear, that’s how I tend to hear it.

    The words dans and sur are interesting, where in English it’s often “in”, French uses dans and sur. I’m still not sure which to use when, I wonder if I had guessed how to say “the answer is in the question” if I would have guessed the correct preposition? Maybe the answer is in the question…
