    I really hope

Where are you in your studies? Wherever you are, I really hope these quizzes are helping you.

I know they are cementing my listening skills and helping me spot words. I can slowly guess more and more words.

How do you approach each quiz? Do you start with the most advanced and try to listen? Or start with the easiest and work your way up? I’ve done both. Lately as I feel I’m improving, I’m starting with the hardest level and then working down cementing my spelling and use of accents.

It’s surprisingly difficult to hear the difference between é and è. I know a word isn’t the “e” sound, but I’m never 100% sure whether it’s accent aguis or grave.

Where do you find pronunciation and listening roadblocks? That’s just one for me. I could probably list off many, many more.

Génial. J’espère vraiment que cela ne recommence pas une deuxième fois.

Je me recouche et essaye de me rendormir.

C’est là que j’aperçois dans la nuit noire des lumières, comme des lumières de lampes de poche, qui s’approchent.

Great. I really hope this doesn’t happen a second time.

I go back to bed and try to fall back asleep.

That’s when I see lights, like flashlight lights, approaching in the dark night.
