    Second … First

It’s interesting to be receiving feedback. Yes, this is my project and I’m partial to the way I’ve set it up. But I’m also 100% open to feedback.

First, I’m told, this is not the way I should be learning beginner French. I agree. This should be combined with a number of other resources. Tools to gain new vocab, a language partner, and some sort of text/teacher to really instill the essentials.

That’d be ideal. I don’t have that time. Or at least, I haven’t made that time. So for now, I’m doing second – running without the grammar. Without the knowledge of verb conjugations in present, past, and future. Hopefully those come with time. For now, my goal is to just get a grasp on each word.

French has always caused my ear problems. I just don’t understand how so many letters can be dropped. Yes, it’s a meme in all of the French speaking Facebook groups, and I hear it in jokes. But it is true for me. Something that sends my head in a tailspin, even when I should know certain words.

My goal is to improve there, to get a grasp of the sentences (and the words in those sentences). With understanding will come the speaking ability.

    What’s your goal?
