    I’m afraid

What’s there to fear, really? I’m throwing myself out here with these shouts in the dark, improving my French with a short clip a day. What are you doing? When I put this on the back burner oer the past month, I don’t think it was fear that kept me from coming back, but laziness. That’s probably a little too deep. At any rate, I’m not afraid of much with this site. Just want to keep putting it out there and keep challenging myself. I hope it’s challenging you, too.

If you’re just joining us as a beginner, I recommend you start with the first episode of Balades. Follow along daily for new clips.

How did you find today’s clip compared to yesterday’s clip? I tend to be most comfortable when the clip is around 150wpm. This one is quick thanks to the words ouh la la and il y a which shring many words into this short clip. I love Balades for my current level, around A1 (hopefully progressing to A2). Hopefully you’re enjoying these clips too. Even when there’s a fast clip, it’s still manageable. The right amount of challenge. What do you think? Join us for the next quiz.

How are you finding these shorter snippets? I’m open to any and all feedback, as always. Let me know.

L’autre lui répond : « Ouh là là, j’ai peur des orages. La nuit, quand il y a un orage, je réveille toujours mon mari. »

The other replies: “Oh, I’m afraid of storms. At night, when there is a storm, I always wake up my husband.”
